Every Saturday at 1pm, the NPH hour will bring guests from every level of Canadian basketball to help promote the fastest growing sport in Canada by educating listeners through story telling and information. Host Jason Thom has been involved in the sport for almost two decades and brings a wealth of knowledge and connections which will provide exclusive insight from the next top athletes, to trailblazers that laid the groundwork to where we are today. Every week we will have interviews with coaches, players and influencers along with updates on what is happening right now in the sport and the work that is being done to ensure it gets the supports needed to continue to grow.

North Pole Hoops is the leading private entity devoted entirely to the promotion, exposure and advancement of Canadian basketball in the world. For more than a decade, it has been at the forefront covering the explosion of the talent never before seen from Canada. Canada has more NBA players than any country outside of the United States. There are over 250 Canadian men and women playing in the NCAA and even more at various other levels of post secondary basketball south of the border. Canada’s Senior Women’s National team is currently ranked 4th in the world while the men’s program is looking to earn their first Olympic berth in over 20-years.

On top of the Raptors 2019 NBA Championship, the Raptors905 are former G League Champions and play out of Mississauga, Ontario while airing on Sauga 960. The Canadian Elite Basketball League is entering it’s third season and features rosters that are 70% Canadian and at the grassroots level, more kids are playing the game than any other sport.

All of this provides amazing content for an hour long show that will educate new listeners and engage the basketball community that have been looking for a program to tell their amazing stories.
