MIKE KARAFILIDIS
It all started for me as a fill-in on Rogers TV broadcasts for the Kitchener Rangers and Guelph Storm. From there, I went on to become the radio play-by-play voice of the Sudbury Wolves, covering their away games. I’ve also had the opportunity to call OSBA basketball, Junior A lacrosse, OUA football, and IBL baseball. Now being the current play by play voice for the Brampton Steelheads away broadcasts and also hosting their home games on Sauga960am
I’ve had a passion for commentary since I was nine years old- back when I used to record myself calling games with the TV on mute. My mom still has those tapes.
I love making listeners feel like they’re right there at the game with me every time I’m on the mic, always bringing a positive energy to every broadcast.
In my spare time, I’m usually with family, coaching my son’s baseball team in the summer, or trying out something new whenever I get the chance.
